Hello!
Today I bought a very expensive Brazilian banknote for a very cheap price. I found it suspicious and I went for more information on the note and its recorded prices and I found the very same note sold this year on a very famous American auction house for three times the price I have bought it.
I investigated the sellers other listings and I found out that all banknotes come from many different auctions from many different countries. Images are the same online and the prices the notes are being sold are ridicously low.
I do believe it is a scam. How should I proceed ?

You bid you pay with paypal you are protected. That being said is the seller new? Was he selling up to a year ago and quit selling and just restart?

How should you proceed? There is only one way to proceed, as far as I can see, and that is to wait until you receive the item and, if it not as describe, file a SNAD. If, the Item doesn't arrive, file an INR dispute.
I'm assuming that you paid what you owed already. If not, you can ask that the seller cancel the transaction, but they are not required to do so. Your failure to pay could put you on the bad side of a UID and could result in a strike on your account.
The time to research an item is before you bid on or purchase it. If you were suspicious of the items authenticity prior to purchasing it, why did you buy it. The time to do one's due diligence is before, not after, entering into the transaction.

Next time do the research BEFORE bidding/buying. However, you are covered under the eBay 30 day money back guarantee.
If the item does not arrive just wait until the last delivery date passes and go to the Resolution Center and pick I didn't get it. Follow the directions to get a refund.
If the item arrives and it is not authentic or does not match the item description, go to the Resolution Center and pick I received an item that does not match the seller's description. Follow the directions to get a refund.
In both cases, the seller will have three days to respond to the case. If they don't, ask eBay to step in. Do not let the case time out. If the seller wants the item returned they will have to pay the return shipping.
There is a link to the Resolution Center on the bottom of every page on eBay. Hopefully this eases your mind.
