A few weeks ago I order a Nintendo Wii classic controller. As soon as I received it I tested it out and unfortunately it didn't work. I opened a return case , printed out the shipping label and shipped. Now according to the tracking it shows that it arrived to the seller and delivered already last week. Now unfortunately according to eBay it's telling me to ship back my item which I already have done. I've looked and I don't see any way to mark it as shipped. I already messaged the seller last week after it was delivered but my message was ignored/ not read. Now eBay is telling me that I have just a few days until the case is closed unless I ship back my item .( But I can't or don't know how to mark it as shipped !)It's looking like I'm about to be burned yet again both as an eBay buyer and seller.

Did you return the item using the shipping label Ebay provided?

Key question: Did you use the shipping label that eBay provided?

Then tracking should have automatically been attached to case

You have written that you printed out a label provided by ebay, but it seems the tracking number did not automatically upload to the dispute. By any chance was the label link or QR code you received sent through ebay messages by the seller? Like the others have written if you received a return label through ebay it should have uploaded when used.
Did you check the address on the shipping label against the return address on the box you received the controller in, to see if they matched? It is possible the seller had it sent to a different address in their town or zip code so they could claim not to have received it.

Shipping label was specifically through eBay
