They advertised a camera I would like to buy on Craigslist. Now they say, I would get invoiced by eBay.
See there message below. Help please.
How can you do this via eBay. I have not heard of this. A scam or ??
Thanks,
" I gave it to eBay who will deliver it to the next owner. The transaction will be made through them for our own safety because I can't deal in person. The best part about this is that you'll get 5 days to test the camera for free with no further obligation or fees. If you're interested in purchasing it just email me your full name and full shipping address so that I can initiate the deal through eBay and they will contact you to explain the procedure. On the invoice you can find delivery details, payments options and safety plans!"

If it's not listed on eBay, there is no eBay involvement.

eBay has NO facilities for storing items being offered for sale.
There is no "safety" for an item sale just because eBay got mentioned. This is the attempt to make buying an item you found on a scummy website seem more up town because eBay is now involved
No seller in their right mind sends their expensive item to a total stranger. You don't need a 5 day test period. On eBay, items get shipped after they are paid for and can be returned for refund.
When you send personal contact information like this, the message you receive next will be a FAKE eBay/PayPal page that lies and lies and lies to you. There is no buyer protection for buying and sending gift cards. There is no eBay agent to receive the card information. It's the scammer that gets the card information
The scammer spends (or sells at a discount) the card information so the cards can be spent while you wait and wait and wait for the item that never comes for that "test period".
