Seller removed listing after offer accepted

Best offer accepted, sent to make payment by eBay, immediately, seller removed the listing "something was wrong with the listing" at the top of the page, why would somebody do this?

Seller removed listing after offer accepted

@cloverthefox88,

There could be several reasons why the seller did that.  They may have received the full price or a higher offer just before you paid.  They also may not ship to your country, Ireland. Whatever the reason all you can do is wait for your refund to be processed. If you haven't received a refund within a few days you can file an Item not received (INR) dispute, from your purchase history's More actions button. First read the terms and time frames of ebay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG) by openig the link below.

The seller uses eBay international shipping and does ship to ireland, I had been talking to the seller before anything, told them I'd buy at the weekend and they said "sounds good". The item in question was a vintage Olympics uniform. I just wonder why anybody would do that, remove the listing after accepting the offer. I have recently been having my first negative experiences with eBay after buying mostly problem free for years, people sending incorrect items and not refunding my money etc. It's all very annoying and worrying to me.

I assume that you already asked the seller?

eBay has a Money Back Guarantee.  If you are receiving incorrect items, are you filing a "Not as Described" claim? (If it's not the right item, it's not as described.)  Go to your purchase history on your eBay Hub, click on "Return this Item" and follow directions.  The seller will have to issue you a return label and upon his receipt of the returned item, issue you a refund.  Or, if he doesn't want the item back, he can just give you a refund.   If he does not respond to the claim within four days, you can ask eBay to step in and they will handle it.

Update: I got my money back today from the incorrect item (it was a uniform jacket which was damaged and not the right size, seller did not say anything when asked and received a negative review, of course)

The seller who removed the listing after accepting my offer has relisted the item and now sold it to me correctly.
