Seller leaves abusive replies to anything other than Positive Feedback - What to do?

I recently purchased, my first purchase as a gift, and did not receive the item listed. Will return it, but I looked at the Seller's feedback and his replies to anyone who leaves a negative or neutral feedback.

He calls people stupid, idiot, morons,  crooks, and on and on. I imagine this is way to intimidate buyers from leaving anything other than a glowing review. eBay does not seem to care as it goes on through 12 months and no doubt before.

He is a large seller of unique items and I doubt eBay will do anything. He should at least get a rubuke or make him stop.

Any thoughts, other than never do business

I wouldn't worry too much about it just make sure you don't buy from him again. I'm sure he's lost a lot of sales over his replies. You could make a habit of checking seller's feedback and their replies to their feedback before you purchase.

An example of reply to a Negative Feedback:

I send photos to no one at all, if you want to look at my millions of parts, I am home tue-thur. You wanted to keep the marked SG, so no real issue, just a millenial doucheguzzler being a millenial

Such feedback replies left by a seller only "outs" them to potential fool that they are. Leaving such feedback reflects on the seller, and not so much on the buyer that left the negative.

Wow, that's just..   Sad.  Gives sellers a bad rep.  What an abusive tool. Obviously wants to blame Millennials for problems, they mention that more than once in replies... Yikes.  (Every generation has its problems, won't argue that)

Man, even the replies on the neutrals are terrible!   Calls one buyer the R word, even if its in another language, its still obvious.

Too bad nothing will be done about it.  Only thing you can do is not buy from a seller like that.  They must have a lot of anger issues they feel they need to express.  lol

@casull-9599,

Now you know why you should check the feedback profile of each seller you intend to buy from, Before buying.  Sellers like that one only hurt themselves, they do not hurt the buyers with their follow up comments.

"I recently purchased, my first purchase as a gift, and did not receive the item listed. Will return it, but I looked at the Seller's feedback and his replies to anyone who leaves a negative or neutral feedback".

If the seller issues the refund with a few days of receiving the item, then just be done with the transaction.  You do not have to leave feedback for any transaction, and sometimes that is the best course of action.

If you decide to leave a neutral stating the facts Ex: "Item was not as described but the seller handled the return in a professional manner"  and the seller decides to reply to it with one of their rants. A seller who might look at your feedback left would see that, and probably shake their head at the seller's reply.

"THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FOOLPROOF, BECAUSE FOOLS ARE SO DARNED INGENIOUS!" (unknown)

If you have to leave a negative feedback, do so. You have been given the ability to warn future buyers of a potential issue with this seller. And if you were wronged, you have the chance to seek redress.

But it is important for YOU not to make the same error as the seller.  You must leave a clear, concise, FACTUAL and rational submission. In this way, you will be able to make your point but show that it is a response to a business issue, and nothing more. As it should be.

The seller is doing themselves a disservice by leaving reply rants. Because any potential buyer will be able to see quickly just WHO was in error in each transaction. Even if the seller was in the right, their replies shine a spotlight on poor business acumen. It also spotlights more than a business issue, this seller has OTHER issues that may need the attention of a mental healthcare professional.
