Seller ignored my immediate cancellation request for four days, hasn't shipped yet either

Hi - I bought an item by mistake four days ago and asked the seller for cancellation the same night. Since then I've sent him many messages asking to confirm cancellation and send me a refund, he never replied even once. He hasn't shipped the item either - been four days later. Now ebay has sent me a message that the seller wasn't able to cancel, but I still can return the item when I receive it. As per the listing, no returns accepted. How do I get refund without the need to pay for return postage?

Making a mistake is a mistake you made so it would be only fair you pay for return postage.

But...here's the but part...I am hoping it wasn't the seller who gave you positive feedback where this seller has only 6950 negative feedbacks and 12206 neutral feedbacks....if it is...you might not even get the item.

If the seller has a no return policy they can deny a remorse return, like bought by mistake.

Sellers are never required to accept cancellation requests. That's why it's important to be sure purchases are correct before you place an order. If you don't receive the item by the day after the last estimated delivery date you should open an item not received case using eBay's Money Back Guarantee. But if the package arrives, the item is as described, and the seller doesn't accept returns the item is yours to use, donate, gift or sell.
