Seller Made Account on Buya.com Using my Personal Information

I am going through a similar issue that was a topic of discussion earlier this year: https://community.ebay.com/t5/Buying/Buya-com/m-p/33384730#M428138. I am waiting on a response from the seller, and I was wondering what recourse I have available. I have already reported the seller, but the item I purchased "shipped" shortly after I received a notification from Buya.

I'm not sure there is anything you can do. The transaction is completed and underway. 

I would let the seller know you're not terribly happy with having your personal information be supplied to a third party without your consent, and that you want them to do whatever it takes to get your info off of Buy a, because you never authorized it.

I wouldn't be happy. Without my permission, my personal info is sacrosanct. Not for resale or unauthorised use. That a seller has no problem throwing yours around is troubling.

Hopefully someone else can give you better advice soon.

Did you read all of the replies to the topic you posted?   The previous reply is one way to go. Messaging the seller to let them know, that giving your information to another site is a serious violation of ebay policy and if they do not find a way to cancel the Buya transaction and account, you will report them to ebay. If all you did was to use the Report item button on the listing nothing will happen, it takes more than one report from different users about a particular item, to get ebay to take action.

To report the seller:

Use the link below to contact ebay. On the first page use the blue Report seller button.

Next page select seller has violated an ebay policy > Continue

Next Pg. enter the seller's username, Select Other, In the text box write

"I bought the item from an ebay listing (ebay item number here 12 digits w/ no hyphens) However, received a message from Buya.com with a tracking number, Thanking me for opening an account with them. They have given my information to another site without my permission".
