Scam

Ok I won a bid on a welder and I paid 720.00 for a welder from racing relics. 3 days after I sent the money he sent a message apologizing for not sending it over the weekend and that he was busy all weekend and that he'd send it Monday first thing. All he did was send the package INFORMATION to FedEx and created a label. That wad his last message. Eventhough I've messaged several times. I've messaged ebay but they say since the expected date hasn't passes yet they can't do nothing. I mean actually it's on FedEx tracking page stating they can't give me an expected date until they receive the package from the sender . Why would someone spend 70 dollars on creating a label but not use it ? Unless they already have my 720.00 dollars and they do not care about the 70 dollars . Please help!

Re: Scam

FedEx may not charge for the label until it is used. Be sure to file INR when the expected delivery is reached.

You have to wait til the day it should be to you, only then can you try to get your money back.

Re: Scam

I receive packages from FedEx quite a bit.

"created a label"...before getting a tracking number is normal.

Seller sounds rather nice about emailing about not sending out items over the weekend.

"can't give an expected date"...well, you will eventually get one. Patience and it will happen.

Once you start buying more items you will learn how tracking works.

Re: Scam

Maybe they have FedEx pick up packages in the afternoon?

What is their handling time?

What is the estimated delivery date that Ebay gave you?

Have a great day.

Re: Scam

In the listing where you made  your purchase, you saw an estimated delivery date.

That date was evidently satisfactory for your needs, or you would not have gone ahead with the purchase, right?

If/when that day arrives, and you've not yet received your item, you can open an item not received case.  eBay offers buyers good protection if/when a transaction goes wrong.

If you've not read eBay's Money Back Guarantee for buyers, now would be a good time to do that.

All of the rest of that info does not really make much difference.  You are well protected, learn about it.

Re: Scam

@bucb_us_rxsuaoblwf,

Did you check the seller's feedback profile page to see if they have sold anything before or in the last year?  They could have a fair number of feedback and a 100% rating, but all of them are for buying not selling at least in the last 12 months.  That's just one reason to check each seller's feedback profile before buying from one.

To check the seller's feedback profile open the listing, scroll down the page until you see their username in a large font.  Below that will be a few comments then a n oval with See all feedback in it. Click on that to be taken to their profile page.

On that page click on the As a Seller tab, to see if they have received any for selling at all or in the last year. If they have not received any feedback or none in the last year.  The seller may have run into the 21-30 day hold on new/returning sellers first few payments.  Many new/returning sellers do not know about the hold, or how to deal with it to get paid.  The hold may also be applied if the price of an item is a lot higher than other items they have previously sold.

All they know is on their Account your payment status shows Pending, so they haven't shipped the item because they don't think the payment has cleared.  It's not unusual for new/returning sellers to make up excuses for not shipping. They may not respond to your messages, thinking, you are trying to scam them somehow.

If you find the seller is a new/returning one, and want the welder try messaging them again, and tell them if they haven't shipped the item because of the payment status, to do a Google search for "Payments on hold, eBay"  On the results page tell them to open the one with export.ebay in the link address. That article gives more complete information on how to deal with the hold, than the first ebay result article.

Re: Scam

Yeah I read the rules for not getting items and I fall every guide line and rule . So I should be covered . I just might be a pessimist and i can't see how something like this hasn't happened before and how ebay can afford to pay out when it happens .
