I purchased some sling swivels from eBay. I received an email that they arrived. They did not. Money came out of my account. E bay has no record of the purchase. The seller conveniently disappeared off of eBay. Eba y conveniently has no phone number that works... And I have no order and some china based seller ripped me off. Every option eBay has just runs me around in a circle. Without this in my purchase history, I got screwed. Eba y you better come up with a way to talk to a human. Your systems sucks.

Checked history on PayPal. Nothing. I paid with a debit card. Nothing there but my last transaction with a data recovery company.
There must be a record some where, I know you posted the USPS delivery info, but are you 100% certain your payment was succesful ? Maybe you are confusing this order with another order ?
While an item could disappear from eBay - glitches and what not, no way can a charge disappear from your funding source that is just not possible, even if it were a refund, the original charge stays and the refund would show the credit as a negative $$
What was the issue you had that you needed data recovery for ? not being nosy, but could this issue have affected your payment somehow before it was fixed?

No this was not an accepted solution ebay. Thanks for just automatically doing that while I was writing.
I have the withdrawal from my bank for the exact amount of this purchase on the date I purchased it. The data recovery was a couple of months ago for over $400.
The problem is no working phone number to talk with a human to fix this. None of the help links work because the whole purchase and reference was deleted. Every link asks for a reference to a purchase on ebay's site. I have the order number but no way to input it or contact anyone to fix it.

Okay, sorry, I must have misread your post earlier. You can remove the solution YOU clicked by clicking again.
Can you ask your bank for a charge back? They should have all details of where the money was sent.

You can call EBay

In the future check the date a topic was posted before replying to it. Those over 6 month old don't bother replying to, especially if the seller accepted a solution signified by a green check mark.
FYI, you cannot call ebay directly any more. You can use the Contact us button at the bottom of an ebay page, to request a call back. Or better yet post a topic on these boards. Short wait times and no problems with a rep's accent.
