Resolution Center / EBay Step in option not working

So I have a seller who has been somewhat of a non-responsive nightmare and who has sent me the wrong model # of the product that I purchased and paid for.  I sent an email a week ago asking for a return or refund and I cannot get the seller to respond. So I tried the resolution center several times and the ask eBay to step in option several times and all that happens is it “rolls” until it times out and never goes thru!!  I can’t seem to find a way to contact eBay customer service anymore, so what do I do??

The ask ebay to step in page not loading could be an issue on your end.  Chances are, you like many other people, are spending more time online.  As a result your device may have an overload of temporary internet files and cookies in the cookie cache, which can interfere with a site's operations.

  If you are using a phone or tablet and the app. You can try using your device's browser to login to ebay the classic way with your username and password.  Go to the Resolution Center button at the bottom of the page, and from there try the ask ebay to step in button there.

 

If that does not work, You can try searching online for info on how to use your device's operating system to clear out the files and cookie cache, or there are free downloads of cookie cleaners available online, many of which are operating system specific and do a faster job of clearing those things.  You may want to set the onboard or downloaded cleaner to schedule clearing the files and cookies at least once a week or more often if you spend a lot of time on line.

Resolution Center / EBay Step in option not working

After opening an item not as described case in the Resolution Center, you have to wait at least 96 hours after you opened the case before you can return to the case and ask eBay to step in.  

And you have 30 days from the date of delivery to open a case in the Resolution Center.
