Requested total - payment deadline.

If I request a total I then have 4 calendar days to pay it. (I requested one, and the system now says pay by 4 March.)  When the seller sends the invoice, does the 4-day clock reset, or is the deadline set in stone?

That deadline is seldom set in stone. To have any adverse affect on you would require the seller to cancel for nonpayment. They can do that on day 5. But unless they have it set up to auto-cancel it's unlikely they wouldn't give you time after the invoice to pay.
