I tried to make a purchase using PayPal. After entering my password, a recaptcha popped up. After I solved it, another came up. Then another. Then another. No matter how many I did it kept going back to the same screen. So, I exited out and went back in to remake the purchase. The 2nd attempt went through. When I checked my credit card two payments went through. The first one was reversed so hopefully everything should be okay.

If you have trouble using the recaptcha when making a purchase, check your bank or credit card records to be sure you were not charged twice.

What you are seeing as 'two payments' ... or 'being charged twice' is actually what a normal processing of a payment looks like. The first 'payment' is a pending (I think that's the jargon) notation, which always will disappear when the actual payment processes. [MANY buyers have posted about being overcharged after seeing those '2 payments' ... but it's just an illusion.]

You were blocked before you reached the payment stage in PayPal ... so there was no way that could have resulted in a payment.

BTW, I know those CAPTCHA thingies can be maddening! 😖 Sometimes they just seem to be 'stuck on stupid' ... and you have to move out of the window (and maybe reboot) to 'cure' the poor AI. 🙄

The two payments are pending on my credit card and there is one reversal pending. Making people aware to check their records if they had a problem when paying.

I check it regularly. No other charge has ever looked this way. I purchased something else earlier in the day and it is listed as pending only once. So, this double payment and reversal is not normal.
