Purchasing and growing seeds

For the gardeners out there, how do you handle it when you get seeds that either don't germinate or aren't what you expect?   There is often a long lag time between getting the seeds and getting a plant, which makes feedback difficult, not to mention a refund.  I recently bought some seeds that despite my best efforts and advice from the seller, refused to sprout.   The seller wants me to revise my neutral to a positive; with no plant and no refund, the most I would consider doing is withdrawing my feedback entirely.

Purchasing and growing seeds

Any time I buy seeds, I now I'm taking a chance and got a 50/50 shot of them doing anything.

I've bought a lot that never did anything and a few that actually grew, but wasn't what they were supposed to be.

It's hard to know if the seeds were bad or it just not meant for me to grow them, so I just let it go and try something else.

Have a great day.

What are the seeds you are looking to germinate?

How are you germinating these seeds?

How many seeds are you trying to germinate?

The only place I ever buy seeds or plants online is from a very few established nurseries that I've had good luck with. With seeds there's never a guarantee of what percentage will germinate, no matter where you buy them. And I personally wouldn't leave negative or neutral feedback because seeds didn't sprout. There are too many variables outside the seller's control in that situation.
