Purchased item as a guest

I have an ebay account, but I purchased an item as a guest because I couldn't remember my password. Now the item doesn't show up in my history. When I click on the email sent to me as a guest, it takes me to create an account. I can't locate the  item as a purchase sob that I can bavigwtebto contact seller, leave a review, or do anything else. How do I (1) get the item placed in my purchase history on my account so that (2) I can leave a review, contact seller about the item, etc?

@ohmercyme2014

If you bought the item as a guest, there's no way to put it under your account.

Have a great day.

As mentioned in the other post, you cannot convert a guest purchase into an account purchase.  You will not be able to leave feedback for this transaction.

To communicate with the seller, go back to the original listing and use the 'Contact seller" link.

Contact the seller is best choice like the other poster mentions

To simplify,Why not change your pass word and go straight to purchasing off your account in the future?

Hey @ohmercyme2014! When you buy as a guest using the same email as a registered account, you'll often run into issues like this because the system wants to sign you into the registered account. Guest accounts are usually meant for those who don't want an actual eBay account.

From here though, you could try using a private/incognito browser to open the guest email/eBay link in as that sometimes will work. If it doesn't, you'll want to do what was already suggested and message the seller any questions you have via your registered account. Just reference the order number for the guest purchase and let them know why you're messaging from a different account and hopefully they'll be willing to work with you there.

You don't.  You will have to handle this purchase through the confirmation message that you received.  By not going through your account the purchase is not connected to it.

How are you posting if you forgot your password?
