Paying in a different currency?

How do you pay for an item that’s in a different currency(ie. US dollars to British pounds)? I thought it was an automatic conversion.

I see that you are located in the US, so your home currency would be US$.

If yiou purchased something that had been listed on the UK site, ebay.co.uk, you would be required to pay the seller in £ (GBP).  eBay checkout should automatically handle the currency conversion.  You shouldn't need to do anything special.

You are in the USA so it would be USD.

Just PAY. eBay will convert your currency to theirs.

@dpsco64

I always use my paypal account for transaction with different currencies. After logging in they have a link to choose currency options, I always choose to pay in the foreign currency, and then your bank will do the conversion.

My bank charges no conversion fees and is always lower than ebay or paypal. Ebay has the second lowest rate and paypal has the highest.
