PayPal used to buy an item

Thanks to all those who replied to my message about buying an item with PayPal and their Pay in 4.

I feel like such a dunce about this so I ask you all to bear with me .
The question I have now is :

who will notify me that the item I purchased with PayPal’s pay in 4 method of payment is being shipped -  I’m assuming the Seller will ? I was not aware that Sellers don’t have to reply to any messages sent to them .
I do appreciate your answers .

There's absolutely nothing different about the Paypal transaction than any other purchase you've made on eBay. All eBay and the seller see is that you've paid. So every notification you receive will be the same as the other 170+ purchases you've made. The Pay in 4 is strictly between you and Paypal.

@wizzy3002

Typically, you can look under My eBay/Purchases/choose the listing/order details. This will show you if the item has shipped and the tracking number if the seller provides one.  This is on a computer, but I am sure it is similar should you use a mobile device.  You can also choose what sort of notifications you would like to have as well in your preferences.

The PayPal Pay in 4 has no effect on the seller.  They get the total amount anyway, and are not notified as to what payment method you used.

Ok thank you . I wasn't sure how it worked as I have never used Pay in 4 .  😏 I'm only familiar with Klarna or Affirm etc . I thought they acted all the same but wasn't sure about the PayPal one .

Thanks again 🙂
