PayPal Credit on eBay is bait and switch

I saw an item listed with PayPal Credit as a payment option, I bid and won the auction.

When I went to Checkout the PayPal Credit was greyed out (disabled).

I am in the same country as the seller, so there is no currency problem.

I have used PayPal Credit to make many purchases on eBay before.

If it is no longer an eBay option for payment why is it not removed from listings before the buyer commits to buy?

Is your Paypal Credit acount listed in your Paypal account wallet?

If so, have you tried checking out & selecting Paypal as your payment method, with PP Credit as your funding source?

Why would eBay think making it more difficult to use is a good thing?

My budget would thank me if I quit using eBay, it is not very smart of them to give me more reasons.
