Last Last month, I used the "Buy It Now" feature when purchasing an item. I provided credit card information for the purchase. I have contacted the seller and requested shipping information. I have not heard back from the seller, nor from Ebay when they were notified. When perusing My Ebay, the purchase is not being reflected. What should be my next step? This was NOT an auction bid, as I purchased using the Buy It Now feature.

Did you make the purchase as a guest? When you buy on ebay, 99% of the sales are processed through Paypal since most seller's on this site do not have merchant accounts for processing credit cards. If you did not pay using PayPal there is nothing you can do, except use the contact phone number on the back of your card to contact your card provider and request a charge back.

If you did pay through PayPal,l they give you 180 days to file an Item Not Received (INR) dispute. If the seller cannot provide a tracking number showing the item was delivered, you will get a refund. If you bought as a guest the item would not show up in your purchase history, and if you did not pay through PayPal the sale would not have been completed and would not appear in the history. Have you checked your ebay messages to see if there were messages sent about the sale?
Before doing any more buying on this site do an online search for "eBay's money back guarantee policy". If you did pay through PayPal search for "PayPal buyer protections".

To whom did you provide the credit card information that you mentioned?

Are you referring to Integrated Merchant Credit Card (IMCC) accounts? eBay no longer allows IMCC accounts. They discontinued them March/May of 2019.
https://pages.ebay.com/payment/imcc_overview.html
"Beginning March 1, 2019, new listings can only be created using an alternate payment acceptance option. After May 1, 2019, eBay is fully discontinuing support for Integrated Merchant Credit Card accounts as a payment acceptance method, and all existing listings will need to be updated with an alternate option."

If you checked out as a guest, follow the instructions here:
https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/returns-refunds/returning-item/returning-items-bought-guest?id=4065
If you still can't find the transaction, check with your Credit Card. You can always file a claim with them.
To everyone else ... eBay allows checkout with a credit card. Even without a MCC. One ... Managed Payments. Two ... even if a seller only takes PayPal, buyers can check out as a PayPal Guest. Even before MP, buyers didn't need a PayPal account ... The CC was processed through eBay checkout through to the seller's PayPal if the seller didn't have that buyer requirement set.

Yes--I pay with a credit card (well, debit, actually) every time I can.
Just by coincidence, this just came up on another thread today. Thanks for enlightening those in this thread who might not have been aware . . .

I used my Discover card, not PayPal. I do not have a PayPal account due to issue I had with them. I cannot believe I have no recourse on this purchase. I guess it was $50.00 thrown out the window. I did have an Ebay account at the time, but have since cancelled it. I don't want to conduct business with a company that doesn't stand behind their buyers.

1. You don't have/closed a PayPal account due to an issue with PayPal.
2. You closed your eBay account to avoid a refund through eBay.
3. You don't know if your Discover can discover protection for your purchases.
Perhaps success begins with distrust?
