My item has not been shipped after 5 days

Hello, I paid immediately ($336) and politely reached out yesterday (the 4th day) to check in and see if I was going to be able to receive this in time for Christmas. It has been 5 days since I paid and it still hasn’t been shipped and have had no contact back. Should I start to worry if it will even be shipped or not. This is his first sell also. Thank you!

Close to the holidays is a terrible time to order anything and expect it to get to you fast.  Unless you paid through the nose for express shipping of some type you may be out of luck.  What was the last date the original sale anticipated for delivery?

Thank you for responding! I paid around $17 for shipping so that was not bad. The last est. delivery is set for Dec 23rd. I don’t want to seem impatient since I know this is a busy time, but I can’t help but overthink since it has been 5 days since I paid immediately.

If you haven't received a response yet, giving it a little more time or sending a polite follow-up message could help. Reaching out once more to inquire about the status of your order might provide clarity or prompt a response. If the situation persists without resolution, considering steps like requesting a refund through the payment platform or contacting their support might be necessary.

YOu are too inexperienced at using ebay to know that New sellers have a 21-30 hold placed on the first few payments they receive, and most new sellers do not know about the hold. All they see on their account is that the payment status is marked Pending, so they do not think they have received the funds yet.  They may also think that messages asking them about shipping are an attempt to scam them somehow.

All you can do at this point is to try messaging the seller again, tell them if they have not shipped because their payment is marked as Pending, to do a Google search for:

"Payments on hold - ebay"

They should choose the article that has an address with ...export.ebay.com over it. If they do that they will get the info they need to ship the item and get the funds released.

Unfortunately, it may be too late for them to ship in time for arrival by Christmas. If the item is for someone in your home, you could try printing out photos of what you ordered and box it up.

Yes I agree I still have a lot to learn about eBay but thank you for educating me. I reached out to him and told him what you advised I should. So now I’m just waiting for a response. Do you think I should stick it out and wait for him to hopefully ship it, or request a non delivery to eBay on the 23rd?

If they haven't at least communicated with you by the 23rd open the INR claim. After that communicate with the seller through the claim only. After 4 business days you can ask ebay to step in. Don't close it until you receive the item.

You can open an item not received claim the day after the estimated delivery which would be on the 24th.

You cannot open an item not received case until one day after the last estimated delivery date.

And, if the last estimated delivery date AS SEEN IN THE LISTING was any time after the 15th, and you wanted it as a Christmas gift, maybe you should not have made the purchase.
