Hi folks,
I'll resist any comments on Trump or Harris and get to my question (although it is interesting following it in the news and I still can't quite get my head around the US electoral system).
If I'm looking for items in the USA, how do I choose items that are only located in the USA? On EBay Aus there is an option to select Australia location only, but I can't see a similar option when logged into EBay USA.
Thanks
Edna

If you are not seeing a US only option on the search results page, try going to the Advanced Search page where the option to search item location by any single country should also appear.
In fact, that option may be available to you on ebay.com.au as well.

If you're logged into ebay.com, under Item Location on the left side there's an option for US only.

You can find the U.S. only, option in the left hand column on search results pages. However, just like in Australian site, there are sellers registered in the U.S. who are China based or who may drop ship from there. They often use U.S. flag symbols, and/or state U.S. Seller, on their listings. Some have US in their usernames, If you find several of the same item listed for about the same price using the same photos. they are probably all listed by China Based sellers.
Their most common item locations are in California - Ca. Texas - Tx. New York or New Jersey - NY. NJ. Miami Florida - Fl. Kentucky - Ky. and Illinois -Il.
Even if you have a U.S. Address set as your primary one, you may have trouble buying because of your country of registry, so you may want to create a new U.S. based account with that address.
There are some other ways of ferreting out U.S. based chinese sellers in the link below. when you open it click on the Go to Best Answer button.

Thanks for the replies everyone. Unfortunately, even when logged onto EBay USA the Item Location option (beneath Buying Format in Aus) just isn't there. It does appear on EBay UK as well.
Maybe because I'm based in Australia EBay is not showing the option. I'll try switching on the VPN to USA tonight and see if that changes the search options. I'm not too fussed about Chinese sellers mis-representing the item location (they do the same on EBay Oz) because vintage and antique albums and photos are not really their thing. 😄

Yes, it is tucked away in advanced options. And yes, it is also in the advanced options in Aus but I've never scrolled down that far and as it's always been an option on the main search page I didn't think to look there. Thank you. 😃
