Having issues with a seller, I ordered something on the fact that the listing said they ship in one day. I was trying to get this in around a week so I can. finish a project I was working on. If they shipped within a day that wouldn't have been an issue.
Placed the order on Feb 2nd, after placing the order I was watching closely for a tracking number. Three days go by and no updates.
I sent a message on Feb 5th asking for an eta, back order etc:, if it was backordered I would have asked for a refund. Never replied to me.
Late on Feb 6th I file a request to cancel the sale, I was waiting on the seller to respond and eBay had me wait until the 11th (today).
Well would you know it, the seller canceled my request to cancel the sale this morning (Feb 11th)
I still don't have tracking, any indication it is shipping or what the hell is going on. On the cancel request it says I should recieve the item by Feb 8th??? Today is the 11th...the 8th has already sailed.
I went back and filed a "I haven't recieved the item" claim and asked for a refund. I'm waiting to see how that pans out. As of right now I don't have tracking and I don't want the items after going through all this.
I have already went a different direction and finished my project and these are of no use to me.
My issue now is what if they ship the items friday for example, after I have already asked to cancel the order, asked for a refund. In thier policy it says buyer pays shipping on returns...there's no way I am going to do that. After I tried to head all this off.
Not sure what to do at this point, I suspect the seller will try and refuse my request to cancel or produce a tracking all of a sudden.
I did put this on my credit card, I wonder if I should start a chargeback? I wouldn't even be thinking this if the seller would have at least communicated with me.

If you don't receive the item you purchased by the last estimated date of delivery open an item not received case through eBay.
You are covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee

Thanks, yeah that estimated delivery time has passed already. I filed a not recieved claim. Lets see how that works out.

Just a quick 'heads-up'
Don't initiate a chargeback until you have exhausted your options with ebay...
once you start a chargeback process, ebay MBG is off the table.......
sounds like you have a slam dunk INR, but it does take a couple days to close in your favor
if tracking shows up as delivered, come back here for advice

Thanks, I def want to make a chargeback as a last resort. I figure eBay will come through (hopefully). It's just annoying.
I sell things on eBay and treat buyers the way I want to be treated, if they have an issue I try and do my best to answer thier questions and resolve it.

I take it you did not check the seller's feedback profile page before buying from them. Their feedback percentage alone would have scared me away, and since about half of the negs were for not shipping and the other half for poor quality, I definitely would've hit the back button.
You probably have not heard back from the seller because they are actually based in China despite being registered in the U.S. and are on vacation because of the Chinese lunar new year which this year ran from Jan.29 to Feb. 12th.
Since you have filed an Item Not Received (INR) dispute if they do not respond within 3 days of the date you filed it, on the fourth one open the dispute and click on the Ask ebay to step in button. That will cause them to issue a refund from the seller's account. Were this a transaction of mine, I would leave a negative feedback now. If you get a refund you will not be able to leave one after that. In the comment stick to the facts like "did not ship within their handling time and the item still has no tracking updates since the day I bought it and the last estimated delivery date has passed".

Yeah I didn't think about that, being chinese new year. You would think they would have paused thier listings or something. Good call on the feedback suggestion, I hate to do that but I need to at least let potential buyers know. Thanks!
