I purchased an item (a router bit to be exact). There were 5 of them available on the listing, I bought 1 of them.
When I was notified of shipping, I went back to the item, and it said "Item is out of stock" at the top. I thought "Wow, I'm glad I bought one, and didn't wait."
However... as I scrolled down the listing, I noticed that it now said "Seller Refurbished " as its condition. And, at the top of the description by the seller, it had (in italics) "Bits have been resharpened". But i do not recall seeing that when I viewed the listing several times... and I'm quite thorough in vetting items when I view them. I intend screen grab them, buy not this time.
So, is it possible that the info was altered after I purchased it, and before the seller sold out? ( Just to provide clarity, I purchased it 24hrs ago, after having it in my watch list a few days. I looked at it several times, as I was unsure if it was one I would buy. And when I did decide to buy it, I only glanced at the post, as I scrolled down to double check the sellers rating. So it could be on me that he changed it before I went to buy it. But i know for certain it was not there the previous times I looked at it.)
Thank you in advance. I seen other posts here with similar questions, but they were for auctions, or "single item" postings.
Thank you in advance.

A seller can revise a multi-item fixed price listing after one or more item have been sold. If they do that, the buyer(s) will see a link at the top of the listing, which goes to the version as it appeared when they made their purchase:
Further information about revisions (if any) can be found in the link at the top of the Description tab in the current active listing:

It should also be noted that if you get something that is not as described in the listing you purchased from and open a case, eBay will use the listing as it was at the time you made the purchase to decide the case.

Does that work with.the Ebay app as well?
Also, now that the item is no longer available, does it change anything?
It also says the part in question, in italics... not sure if that has any meaning (like it's been updated)?
Sorry to be a pain. Just want to make certain I made the error (as the item I ordered cannot be safely resharpened, as it can be dangerous to use). Thank you again.

Sorry, I have never used the app so I can't answer questions about it. Is it possible for you to check up on the listing's background by accessing it on a real computer?

The description cannot be changed after you purchase the item. Once the item ends, it can no longer be edited in any way by the seller.

That is true but this is not about an ended listing. The op said, "There were 5 of them available on the listing, I bought 1 of them. ... is it possible that the info was altered after I purchased it, and before the seller sold out?"

True @nobody*s_perfect but I meant that their purchase description could not be changed once sold. I was speaking of the one item they bought. The seller can change the description for the others.
