IS THIS ALLOWED?

i just won an auction fair and square and instantly it's out of stock probably because they didn't like the price I got it at.  Is this fair?  Oh and I wrote to him to tell him of my dismay and he said that he isn't going to sell on eBay anymore because it takes all profits.... as he put it.

Later that day after talking to the seller about this he told me the one that won it was a scammer and he'd let me have it for what I would have won it for had the scammer not been discovered. He explained it better but that's out it and I took the offer. I'll see if he goes through with it when I get on the computer later.
