Since this is a member to member discussion board we don't have access to the reason why you weren't able to bid on that particular item.  It might help us to better guess the reason if we knew what the error message was when you tried to place a bid.  Of course, more than two unpaid item strikes is often the reason but there could be others such as being blocked by the particular seller.

Did the seller say he would ship to your location?

When did you bid? That item with 32 bids sold today Oct. 8th, but, for some reason, it did not specify the time when it sold.
