How to make thumbnails in search results default to SMALL again?

A few days ago all the search results started coming up with ENORMOUS thumbnails, so now i get only 3 results per page instead of 6 - is there any way to set this back to DEFAULT to the way it was before?  

This is the 2nd time in my recollection EBAY has tried to force these absurdly enormous thumbnails on us.

Look up the definition of "thumbnail"  - it is supposed to be PREVIEW size, not screen size.

Try clearing your browser cache and just your eBay cookies, then sign back in to eBay and perform a keyword search. From the search results page, use the "Customize" menu option that appears in the upper right where you can select between List or Gallery view, then choose the size thumbnails you want to see and apply the changes. Search again to verify the change has been effective. If not, repeat the procedure.

Changing the size of the thumbnails does not affect how many items fit on a page, however, at least not for me. Changing the zoom level of the page should affect that using by holding down the Control key and using plus, minus or zero keys to zoom in, out or reset the zoom level.
