How to default the search results as "list view"?

There must have been a change at eBay recently, because all my search results show in these huge blocky lists, rather than a single entry per line list, like it used to be. I can change each search individually, but it alway reverts back next time. So much wasted time. I just want list view to be default always.

Run a search for anything, you just want to get the search results page up.  Find near the top right corner of the results list, the View button.  Hover your cursor over the View button and a drop down menu will appear.  On that drop down, click Customize.  You can set the results to default to List View, and several other things you might want to set.  Good luck.

Thank you, I do know about that, but I wonder why it switches back to the block view when I go back the next day.
