How to confirm if a case has been opened?

Goodnight, I was unable to reach an agreement with a seller so I decided to ask ebay to step in. I provided the necessary details and the page brought me back to the return details page. How can I confirm that my case has been opened?

Re: How to confirm if a case has been opened?

It should show as 'Case Open' in your eBay purchase history - so long as you followed the directiions using the MBG it should all be fine.

^^^^ Thanks for adding that, I have not had to do one in years, so couldn't quite remember for certain if you got notification or not.

IT shows as returns and canceled orders and I have received no email. Is it that i have to wait 48 hrs after asking ebay to step in?

Not sure how it works on the Buyer side of things, but the "Resolution Center" link at the bottom of this page should bring you to a page where you can view and take action on any open cases.

Did you open a case? If so, what type?

”asking eBay to step in” is done after the seller doesn’t resolve a case, so more details would be helpful.
