The link below tells you how to set up your shipping preferences. That should to be done in advance of listing an item. You should also think in terms of how much the shipping services you want to use will cost a buyer, because it can be the difference between a buyer choosing to buy from your listing or buying from another seller whose item price + plus shipping is lower than yours.
As a seller myself I have several "Shipping rules" set up so I can select from them when creating a listing. I have them labeled as;
Light weight items expedited shipping or standard shipping, USPS.
Heavy or large package Expedited USPS ground and UPS ground.
There are several others as well.
When you create those rules the one listed first will be the shipping cost shown and its estimated delivery time frame on the listing, but both will show up at checkout, for a buyer to choose from.
