How to block sellers from eBay searches

I have read about the method whereby you add sellers to exclude in the "advanced search" option separated by commas.  This doesn't always work for me although sometimes it does. I cannot explain why. I just tried to add a seller to my exclusion list FIVE times and it will not work.

Make sure you are blocking the seller's name and not their store name.

I always use their eBay moniker.

I don't think I've ever blocked a seller. 

Is this how you are doing it?  I think it works for up to 10 sellers. Are you adding more than 10? 

From your search results, go to the Advanced Search page to the seller section, select "only show items from" and then check "exclude". Enter up to ten seller usernames separated by commas and hit "search".

Yes, that's what I do... I'll check to see how many I'm trying to block.

You understand that blocking a seller in Advanced Search is not a generic, universal, across the board block?  The block is in effect for only that very search.  If you create a different search, you'll have to block the seller again, for the new search.  And so on.  

It has been suggested that you Save the search which has excluded specific sellers.  Then, for new searches, you call-up that saved search, and edit it accordingly, leaving the saved search intact for subsequent call-ups.

It usually doesn't work for me the first time I type the name in...second time works.

It's also a comma plus space and then the name.
