I HATE, I repeat HATE Sponsored Listings. They are ruining my eBay experience, and you can best believe that I will NEVER purchase a Sponsored item.
I want a way to turn them OFF. I do not want to see the same overpriced item at the top, middle, and bottom of every page of results, especially when I have specific sort criteria. What is the point of 'newly listed' or 'price low to high' if the first results are the Sponsored Listing? I guarantee you that seeing these same listings over and over is not going to weaken my resolve and make me want to purchase these random items. Au contraire, mon frère. Any seller that makes frequent use of Sponsored Listings is going to go on my blacklist. You people are the worst.

I sort things in the order for a good reason. When you choose to insert your product in the wrong order, it's unwanted. If I wanted to pay more for your product, I wouldn't sort by price. Preferences are there for a reason. When computers decide to ignore preferences, people get annoyed.

I just click on the advanced options radio button on the right of the search bar and enter "sponsored" in the exclude these words when searching box.

Drives me nuts, I know how to use search criteria to search for exactly what I'm looking for, the sponsored listings just pollute the results and create added work for me to mentally filter them out.
I've *never* sponsored one of my own listings and because I price most of my listings fairly to begin with it's rare that I've had something I listed not sell. The vast majority of sponsored listings I see are BIN listings at fantasy prices I'm not interested in paying. I'm on ebay looking for bargains, I never pay top dollar for anything. I don't think sponsoring does anything but annoy potential buyers, maybe it works well for wide appeal consumer products but not the stuff I'd ever be looking for.
