I got a message from eBay saying the seller can't pay for a return shipping label. Seller said that if I want to return it, to mail it to an address he gave thats in California, however eBay is giving an address for the seller that's in the UK. First I don't think it's right that I have to spend my money to return a counterfeit item, but my bigger concern is the 2 different addresses, and that eBay could deny me a refund because I mailed it to an address other than what eBay gave. And i'm sure not paying for international shipping. The item was shipped to me from the US, so I thought I would be safer than buying from outside the US, but after doing some research I learned about how overseas eBayers use US warehouses.
I don't have an option to ask for eBay to step in. I wanted to see if Paypal could resolve the issue for me, but magically the transaction seems to have vanished. When I click on the paypal transaction link on eBay, it takes me to an "oops page not found" error. When I log onto Paypal, and look at all transactions, it's not listed. Yet I can see the PayPal charge in my bank account.
It's really irritating that my buyers have had no issues getting full refunds for me for bogus reasons, yet I can't seem to get a return on a counterfeit item. These chinese sellers really know how to game eBay. The counterfeit apple airpods they were selling were delisted so other people wouldn't get scammed, and the seller no longer has any items listed.

You can't open cases with both ebay and paypal at the same time, by doing so, you pretty much voided your coverage with both.
With that being said, your only recourse is if you used a credit card to pay via paypal.

If you're stalled with no return label @mojogoodz and the clock is ticking down until you won't get a refund:
Send a private message with your name, email, and zip code to eBay on Facebook here
and tell eBay you need a return label.

The seller can't provide a return label but he can send you return shipping money UP FRONT. If he doesn't then let eBay know he hasn't provided return shipping money like he is supposed to. Then eBay will refund and tell you you don't have to return them.
