Feedback request

Why does Ebay email me on items I purchased to leave feedback when I haven't even received it yet? Seems like their system is too stupid to check tracking before asking for feedback!

Re: Feedback request

You can turn off feedback reminders if you don't want to receive them.

Account Settings > Communication Preferences > General Preferences > Feedback

Agreed with wastingtime101 - Just like turning off your TV - You can turn off bothersome eBay emails.

Re: Feedback request

I get that, but it doesn't explain a faulty system!

Re: Feedback request

I don't know why eBay programmed it that way, but obviously it's going based on set time frame reminders, possibly looking at original estimated delivery, and not looking at tracking.

Maybe it's because tracking isn't required, or because it's common for there to be delivery without tracking confirming as much.

Re: Feedback request

@calculus314,

The feedback reminders do not say to leave feedback NOW.  They may be being sent for the reasons posted by wastingtime... or because sellers are lucky to get feedback for 30% of their sales these days.

  Just so you know, sellers get the same messages unless they turn them off. eBay expects us to give feedback before we know if the buyer will cause us problems or not.
