Fedex Shipping Problem. How to resolve?

Pretty much as indicated in the subject.  I've bought some items (other places so far, not here yet) where sellers have used Fedex.  However, Fedex seems absolutely incapable of delivering the items I order to my correct address.  I've figured out where they make the mistake and get my items in the end (luckily, since I always hover over any tracking for anything I order that turns into serious money and start looking when it indicates "Delivered") but when I try to contact Fedex to complain about this all the avenues they present turn into dead ends in one way or another.  I've mentioned to sellers that this is happening and they seem to space out.  Besides, the only real choice they would have is to not use Fedex in the first place.

So thoughts on how to proceed and fix this?  I'd hate to keep ordering stuff without the idea of whether a seller uses Fedex or not with the possibility of never seeing the item.

Re: Fedex Shipping Problem. How to resolve?

If you're asking how to fix it on eBay, your can check the Shipping tab of each listing to see what carrier the seller shows they're using.  Then hit the back button if they're using FedEx.

If you're asking how to fix FedEx, I don't think there is a way. I live in the greater Dallas metroplex, so definitely not a small town. And I literally spit my tea at the notion of having my packages delivered into my hands. While we don't really have an issue with misdeliveries, the drivers usually take the package and literally throw it in the general direction of my front porch. And I'm usually home at the time, so totally able to have it handed to me. No amount of complaints and doorbell videos has changed anything. So I think you just learn to live with it.

I love Fed Ex because they hand deliver the package....And you get too many notifications usually throughout the delivery and package delivered...but I live in San Francisco...Never had a lost item from East Coast or wherever.

Problem might be your address...where you live. If you have problems with them you will have problems with most except maybe your mailman (USPS).

Where you live is so small I would only do the post office...a place of 20,000 population. Only your mailman or USPS will know you.

I'd start at the FedEx site and see if you can fix it there by opening up an account.

Ironically, that was the entire issue last time.  They hand delivered the package *right into someone else's hands* and ended up putting a note that it was "delivered to recipient" in the tracking.  Literally lies!  Got lucky the person was at least honest about it and didn't walk off with the box.  Not the first time it happened either (to the tune of 100s of dollars value by the way).  Porch pirates are bad enough, but a shipping company enabling it by their total ineptitude is galling.

While I was aware I could pick like that with Fedex (the problem with the Ebay service I've found is you never know *exactly* how a seller ships an item and I've always been surprised when I've ordered on Ebay), it seems like the only solution is going to be calling up to order instead of using websites and then "Use FedEx = NO SALE PERIOD" as a condition.

Re: Fedex Shipping Problem. How to resolve?

You actually can get a good idea of how an eBay seller ships by simply looking at the Shipping tab of the listing. There's a category for Service on the Shipping and handling line.
