There are a many sellers in my category that sell cheap junk, and they have a lot of it.
I want to exclude those sellers by using the exclude function in the advanced search page.
It doesn't work. Excluding any number of sellers (1, 2, 10) results in ZERO hits.
FIX IT.

@bambopbam afik there has never been a way to exclude individual sellers. It would be great if there was. You can exclude countries from search but not individual sellers.

You have to type individual sellers names, separated by a coma

Awesome! I stand corrected. I just tried it using my own name and it worked. I didn't try multiple sellers yet. This is one of the best upgrades ebay has made yet.

A lot of people have asked that question and the answer was always can't be done. I have to admit this is the first time i noticed the dropdown. Now to start making my list.....

Excluding sellers from a search using the advanced search page seems to be working for me as long as I enter actual search terms -- I don't think you can use it for category browsing, only for actual searching.
I entered search terms on the advanced search page at the top, then scrolled down to "Sellers", and chose "exclude" from the dropdown, and entered seller names separated by commas.
bambopbam, if you could let me know what search terms you are using, I can see if I can offer some specific suggestions.

At the top of the stamps category, newly listed, buy it now. From there I click advanced search and exclude the sellers I don't want. I have about a dozen sellers still in there separated by commas from when it used to work.
Now I get zero hits.

You need to enter some search terms in the "Enter keywords or search terms" field at the top in order to actually search. Otherwise you are just browsing a category, and the exclusions won't be applied.
For a broad, general search, try pasting "(stamp,stamps,0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9)" into that field without the quotes, and then hit "search".
The search without excluding any sellers would look like this:
Then try excluding some sellers and compare to see if the number of results changes.
