Don’t want eBay Authenticator??

Is there anyway to buy something without having it sent to eBay? I refuse to support that service. I do not want eBay touching anything I purchase

Iv never been able to get an answer from eBay. They hang up on me when I ask over the phone.

Get a PO Box to use for the shipping address.

https://www.ebay.com/help/selling/selling-tools/ebay-authenticity-guarantee?id=4644#section1

"Listings where the delivery is local pickup, in-store pickup, or being shipped to a PO box will not be eligible."

Except for sneakers, which have an exception; sneakers can be shipped to a PO and will still be eligible.

@maidenru_40,

There are 5 categories ebay has Authentication services for, and the services  are there for the protection of both buyers and sellers. Not every item in those categories needs to go through the authentication process, so what ever it is you want to buy may not have to go through the process.  You may be afraid an authenticator will switch items on you, but seller's have the same fear about buyers switching items too.  If the item meets the criteria for authentication, the seller has to go through the process to list it.

before you send it to the buyer, make sure there is tracking included. DO NOT SEND TO ANY OTHER ADRESS THAN NOTED IN THE BUYERS DETAILS EVEN IF THEY ASK YOU TO DO SO. This leaves the gate open for the actual buyer to place negative feedback on your account and ebay always says that the buyers are entitled to their opinions to which the feedback stands for.  AGAIN, never ever send to a different adress that what is stated in the buyers details on the time of the close of the auction. It is up to the buyer to keep their account updated at all times.

None of the authentication services eBay provides go to eBay employees. They all go to third-party authenticators. Trading cards go directly to grading companies CGC, CSG, or PSA.  So no one from eBay ever has access to the card. Here's more information on how the authentication process works:

Don’t want eBay Authenticator??

Every single time there's an authenticator involved with me buying or selling, it's a complete joke, and they have no idea what they're doing. They're never right or handling things correctly. This is a terrible thing that ebay has provided and forced on people. That combined with the complete a I support system.I feel like ebay has lost its way. If there is any other option out there.. I'm immediately taking it over ebay.

I'm not sure this is true. One of the PSA cards I had graded that I sent off was sent to a third party authenticator, and he said that he could not verify the authenticity of the card when it was in a PSA slab with PSA documentation. This sounds a little bit silly, if you ask me.

Not to mention the $700 card was returned to me in a soft sleeve without any protection. What kind of joke is ebay pulling?
