I made a counter offer to the seller and in the message box I requested that this price include shipping. The seller accepted my counter and the auction ended. The seller apparently didn't read the message box and is now charging me shipping. Is my message in the box considered binding? Or can the seller ignore that?

The seller probably did not see that message, shipping isn't negotiable in best offer terms anyway.

Might be a good idea to read up on the ins and outs of a "Best Offer."

Pertinent verbiage:
"Your offer only applies to the item price. Shipping costs and all the other terms specified in the seller's listing remain the same."
I'm afraid you're on the hook for this one, unless you ask the seller to cancel the transaction and hope they accept your request.

I feel that some buyers aren't seeing the notice that the offer is for the item only, or are somehow overlooking it. When I make offers, I always see the notice, but maybe the site could make it a little more prominent.
