When I tried to buy an item the code FALL20OFF did not apply to my DVD

why?

Coupons have a lot of restrictions in the small print: could be the coupon didn’t apply to the media category or that your dvd’s price was below the minimum purchase amount.

When you look at items, it is very easy to click on other items that are not included. As long as the item can be found if you search for it on that page, then it will be eligible. Most items on the eBay site are not included (because the sellers can't afford to sell their items for 20% less - eBay doesn't pay for it, the sellers have to).
