I won 4 auctions. I was not able to pay the first one, paid the 2nd with no problem, and now it won't let me pay the 3rd and 4th. When I go to check out, it lists credit card or PayPal or PayPal credit as options to pay. I log into PayPal and it instantly kicks me back to checkout and the PayPal options are now grayed out and a red notice tells me to use a different form of payment.

I select credit card, enter my details, and it says that my information is incorrect and payment not processed. I have tried 3 credit cards and 1 debit card. There is no issue with any of these cards as I have used 2 of the credit cards and 1 debit card online since having these issues with eBay.

I have a bunch of orders in my "Return and Canceled Order" section of the same items all saying that payment did not go through and to go and pay for them again.

I chatted with 2 eBay reps and one said that one of the sellers has his PayPal unverified which seems odd since it's a large seller with multiple sellers today and the other rep just said to cancel the orders but I don't want to cancel since I bought these items for a reason!

I even had 1 of the sellers send me an invoice to pay through the invoice but it just sends me back to the checkout page and I run into the same issues. I have entered my credit card info over 25 times today on eBay's checkout page. What is going on?

First things to check are your payment methods on eBay. Go to this page and select Payment Options under Payments. Is your Credit Card listed there. If not, add it. Then, go back and check your PayPal account. Make sure that the proper PP email is linked to your account.

Next, disable any Popup blockers in your browser and/or try another browser. If none of this helps, come back and post a follow up here.

Checked credit card info. It is correct under eBay saved credit cards.

Checked my PayPal info and it is the correct PayPal email tied to my eBay account. I also sold 3 buy it now items in the last 48 hours including 1 item last night and money is in my PayPal without issue.

I disabled my popup blocker for ebay and tried paying and no success again. I tried paying in normal browser mode and then in incognito mode. No luck. I tried 2 other browsers in "normal" (not incognito/private) mode and no luck. I have tried Firefox, Chrome, and Opera.

When I try to pay, 1 of 3 things happens. (1) If I try PayPal, I enter my PayPal info, it accepts it and then kicks me back to the eBay checkout page and now PayPal and PayPal credit are grayed out and unclickable. (2) When I pay with credit card, it gives me an error message saying to check my billing info and try another card. (3) It goes through, the item moves out of unpaid in my purchase history and then a few minutes later it appears in return & canceled orders and also back in unpaid.

I have tried 3 different credit cards now. These credit cards work. I have tried a debit card too and no luck.

These auctions are for single basketball cards so each auction is under 30 cents each. The totals are like 27 cents and 19 cents after tax. Could this be an issue?

I have 7 sales pending payment. Most pending I've ever had in one time ever and I've been selling since 1999. I have heard from 2 buyers they keep getting "Cant checkout try again later" Im waiting on ebay to call me back about this.

That could definitely be a problem. The amount may not be enough to cover the fee associated with the transfer, which could cause issues.

Are you able to pay for those items with a PayPal balance? Or a gift card balance?

Otherwise, you may be able to find other items from those sellers to add to your order to get above whatever minimum amount is required.

Can you update here in a few days on whether any of your pending payments go through and if you are told the reason why these issues were happening? It would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully eBay resolves both of our issues. I'm sure this is effecting many more people than just us.

I appreciate the tip. Cleared it and even tried 3 different browsers at this point in regular and incognito/private modes (Opera, Firefox, and Chrome).

So when I am at checkout, I select PayPal, it opens a window to log into PayPal, I put in my password and it spins around, a window seems to open and then instantly close, and then PayPal (and PayPal credit) are no longer options on the checkout page. They are grayed out and no longer clickable.

I thought it had to do with my ad blocker so I whitelisted ebay and still same issue. So I tried 2 other browsers one of which doesn't even have an ad blocker and same issue.

So I went to my PayPal in a different window and changed my default payment for online from credit card to PayPal balance. I then went to try again and the same thing happens in 2 different browsers.

The amount does not matter. I have won auction for .01 a lot of times and could pay.

What payment method and source did you use?

I have seen many posts from users that were unable to pay items less than about thirty cents -- which happens to be the minimum amount that PayPal charges as a fee (unless the seller has set up a micro-payment fee structure).

eBay Bucks credit will be issued soon -- in the next day or two; it might be worth trying to pay with that as a funding source to see if that works.

Did you use a cash balance, or a credit or debit card? It is possible that a cash balance might be treated differently than another payment type.

I have tried both cash balance and credit card via PayPal. It doesn't even let me get that far. As soon as I log into PayPal from the eBay checkout page, it redirects me back to the eBay checkout page and PayPal is no longer an option to select (it is grayed out.)
