Did you buy them on Ebay? China thrives on Ebay because Ebay allows it. Open an item NOT described case. These are fake. To use them is to steal from the American public, not just the post office.
I have seen them on Facebook and it's common sense that they are fake. The post office is losing millions of dollars are year. It will continue to lose millions more as long as Facebook and Ebay allow these fakes to be sold on their sites.

China sellers are flooding the US Postage Category and are ruining the Stamp Collecting hobby/business. This should be a major concern to buyers and sellers alike. I try to work within eBay's policies by using the 'Report Item' button on each listing that is selling/sold USA Forever Stamps close to 50% off face value. Almost all abusers are sourced from China. One only has to look at listings in the US Stamp Postage Category to identify obvious counterfeits.
So far after years of complaints there appears to be no action from eBay to correct the situation even though their Stamp Policy forbids selling counterfeits and states that 'Forever Stamps can be sold by eligible sellers only.'
When I talked to an eBay representative about the matter, it was suggested that I use the 'Report Item' button. If the Stamp Collecting Community would step up and start using the "Report Item' button in listings that are highly suspect, maybe eBay would take the issue seriously. My list of China sellers listing US Forever Stamps appearing to be counterfeit, numbers 47. From those sellers, there are hundreds of listings of items currently selling or already sold.
How do I know if a listing sells counterfeit stamps? It's like the old definition of Porn. You'll know it when you see it.
Start Reporting Items.

Like 99.9% of internet forums, there are trolls here too.
Also, not too smart to ask AFTER buying btw.

I fell for it and when the stamps come on Monday, I am taking them to the Post Office to check out. If counterfeit I will contact PayPal to see if they will refund my money. And beware of calling Ebay…..the number if found was a fraud. And, you don’t want to pay some bill and then have the PO send to check out, etc. and then return to you.
