I am trying to buy just 1 item but I keep getting the notification that I have exceeded the maximum order amount.

To my knowledge I have  a good record and have no other pending orders from eBay. I've also never gotten any e-mail from eBay notifying me of any restrictions to my account.

I've never had a canceled or unpaid item.

That's the message if a seller limits how many items a buyer can purchase in a given time.  Have you bought from that seller recently?

That message has nothing to do with your buyer limits. Either the seller has set a maximum purchase limit or it’s a glitch. I do believe a few other buyers experienced something similar & they had never bought from the seller before.

I haven't, it's the first time I'm trying to buy from the seller. He seems as puzzled as I am with the message as he had just sent 2 of the items to the country where I reside.

Thanks to anyone and everyone trying to help btw!
