Beware ordering from China

If you are like me you like a bargain and the prices some sellers from china offer are too good to pass up but think twice then thin twice more.  |

I used to order a lot and it was great but then it began to change and now Im at the point I wont use Ebay any longer because Ebay has not caught up to the chinese scammers.  probably 4 out of ten orders I make have some kind of problem items arrive not as advertised items not arriving at all and because of the lag in shipping times by the time you are able to ask Ebay for help your pretty much out of time. 

The chinese scammers are using Ebays own policies to screw buyers they know it takes a min of 30 days to get to you and if they string you along a little they can get you to the point where you cannot leave negative feedback they can tell you we will ship you a replacement for the items that never arrived just wait another 30 days ebay closes the complaint after 21 days and your SCREWED you cant do anything and ebay could not care less  at best you get a few form letter replies from the ebay customer service PDF and told next time follow the ebay regs. 

my last order from Ebay I did not receive half the stuff I ordered one item I did receive arrived missing half the order x 2 because it was two sets I ordered I contacted the seller and they denied it was a set despite the description clearly stating set and the item only had selection options for color and size no upgrades  because the  item arrived all be it incomplete and  the seller answered the messages again all be it only with "you didnt order_______"  Ebay would not help me at all and closed the complaint 

the second item was two orders of action cameras from a single seller one order was 2 cameras the other was a single  I waited the shipping time then contacted the seller he said he would send another I waited another month nothing but I had to continue waiting because the shipping time was  very long (in the order) nothing arrived I opened a request for Ebay to help the seller replied of course saying they would ship the cameras again  then before the month was up Ebay closed the help request  because of 21 days non activity  shipping from china for cheap shipping is 30 days so ebay closed the request before the earliest day It could have arrived and that leaves you ZERO options to get anything  they item is faded out on your orders page you have no option for feedback you cannot ask ebay to help if you go through another contact point they simply reply saying you should have contacted us earlier and tell you basically to bend over and just take it. 

the first few times this happens you think ok its me I screwed up I didn't do things on time but after a few times you really begin to see theres no way you can meet the criteria Ebay and paypal demand because the scammers are smarter than the Ebay policy makers and have in effect turned Ebays policies into a convenient way to rip people off 

as long as something arrives the seller is golden some ship chincy little trinkets not the high price item you ordered or they ship only part of the order but as long as something is delivered it adds enough time for them to get away.  

the sellers in china can enter up to two months shipping time so you cant do a dam thing until that time is up then they just need to string you along in the complaint area of ebay for one more month and thats it ebay washes its hands of you  so you open a request they message we will send a replacement and ask you to wait till it arrives not even halfway through that waiting period ebay closes the request and locks you out and you

can do nothing about it theres no follow up by ebay its all deleted and as far as ebay is concerned well done the seller gets their money, ebay gets its cut and you are left with nothing and its all perfectly legal as far as Ebay is concerned.  your also by this point well past the time limit for leaving feedback for the seller, theres no valid reason that I can see to put a time limit on feedback it would seems to me that it should be open ended because of the shipping times from china but Ebay deems it otherwise again helping the scammers  just because a seller has a high positive feedback does not mean they are a good seller  take a peek see what was sold as a great many have sold 20 thousand tiny little trinkets a couple cents each and the true neg feedback is skewed by the ship times and Ebay policies who cater to the scammers.  

Ebay is no longer safe there are no guarantees Ebay policies have not grown with the times and they have no plans to do so they get paid either way.

If you paid via PayPal, you have 180 days to file an "Item Not Received" (INR) with them. Find the transaction on your PayPal account and go from there.

If you paid via credit or debit card, contact their customer service number and inquire about their buyer protection for items you ordered and paid for but did not receive.
