Please be aware there are numerous Waterford and Radko scammers currently on eBay. They list new Waterford glasses and ornaments and sometimes Radko items at rediculously low prices. The first several actually get sent out, and come directly from Waterford or Radko. This is done to give the seller a feedback profile and once that is done the scam really begins. They list more Waterford and Radko at higher prices but still very low. Then they either never ship the item or will have Waterford ship the item but before it arrives they have Waterford contact UPS to have the item returned to sender. This has happened to me twice already. In the meantime the sellers have items listed to sell and once they accumulate enough money they are gone.

You have been using ebay long enough to know items listed with a ridiculously low price is a sure sign of a scam, and that new sellers often run into problems with their first few listings.
"... The first several actually get sent out, and come directly from Waterford or Radko. This is done to give the seller a feedback profile and once that is done the scam really begins".
Did you actually look at the seller's feedback profiles or just go by their percentage?
They could have done some buying first to pad their feedback. If the feedback received was from buyers who have no stars or a yellow one. There may not have even been a legitimate sale. The get some confederates with bogus accounts to "buy" the items, shortly after they are listed, the seller marks the listings as paid and shipped, Then the person leaves feedback. If you do an advanced search of a "New" seller's completed listings, you may see all of the items bought ended on the same day.
"Then they either never ship the item..."
If the item(s) were listed at a low auction start price and you won being the only bidder. A true new seller either decided not to sell for the opening bid price, or they did not read the info about PayPal's 21 day payment hold on all new or returning sellers who haven't sold any thing in over a year. Typical new seller behavior.
"... or will have Waterford ship the item but before it arrives they have Waterford contact UPS to have the item returned to sender".
Because items are being returned to Waterford or Radford at their request, you have likely been involved in a triangulation scam, and the companies picked up on it, so they recalled the items.
The way a triangulation scam works is:
Scams work usually for one reason:
People let their common sense go out the door when they think they are getting a super bargain.

Thank you for this notification. We buy Waterford angels as gifts. Today, I noticed people selling the angels on eBay for more than they costt at the actual Waterford company. Why should I pay for their product at an increased price when I can get one from Waterford in an elegantly packaged satin box with fresh packaging. I have only ordered two small Waterford items from them, but I will not be buying anymore. Again, thank you.
