Ive had a "running tab" with a few sellers of the items I collect, meaning they are allowing me to buy, but not pay yet. Ive been doing this for a month with one seller.
I suddenly got notices saying "MUST PAY BY APRIL 19 TO AVOID CANCELLATION" plastered to these sales in my "Purchases" list. The sellers say they didnt ask Ebay to do this and have no problems with me piling up the sales. Whats odd is that the sales that are the oldest just say "must pay by April 19". Some of the newest ones add the "to avoid cancellation".
Anyone ever hear of or see Ebay doing this? Would Ebay actually cancel orders without the sellers permission?
Please answer soon!

Hi @ccantiques
You said, "Ive been doing this for a month with one seller."
Assuming the above is true ... then the problem can NOT be solved by the seller turning off the Automated Assistant. A different process is going on.
You MUST pay for the early items you 'purchased' ... or else the transactions will be cancelled automatically 32 days from the date you committed to buy them. There is no way to extend the time beyond 32 days, as that is the longest time eBay keeps a transaction open.
If you don't pay ... then the seller will be penalized by forfeiting the fees eBay took from them as soon as you committed to buy the items. I hope you won't do that to your seller, who appears not to be familiar with this policy.
