I'm going to hazard a guess based on seeing similar pieces: it appears to be a solid rock crystal carved vase...possibly a medicinal or balm-holding container. It might be missing the stopper. From what I've seen from Mezo-America, I'd judge it to be Mexican or Central/South American in origin. As to age, anywhere from 20th back to 15th century. It is a bit crudely done, but, still very interesting.
As to value, depending on provenance, anywhere from $100 to a few thousand, depending on the collector interest and the setting in which it is being sold. I definitely wouldn't just give it away.
