Svengali: I am interesting in making button bracelets but the only instructions I have want you to destroy the button back, which I am reluctant to do. Can you share anything about making button bracelets, or is it your trade secret... Don't want to overstep here. I'm learning all the time. Yesterday I visited an antique store with my daughter and the man there told me to just take the lovely buttons I had picked out!! (under 10)

Nice job Carole and no-harm to the buttons. I think they look great just like that. Look to the left and visit teh Photo Album to see Carole's button earings creation. I listed one more of my woven beads with buttons bracelet. This one came out better than my first two, but it still took a long time to make. Hopefully I'll get quicker as I make more: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=6269207677 -Carol C-

I did hunt down that issue of Bead & Button, briefly looked at the pattern & got intimidated quickly. I'm rather liking the relatively instant gratification of the earrings, though. These will go to my sister in law, a good way to promote my addiction I think. I may experiment some more & catch up with you at State to compare notes, Carol. Carole L.

Hi folks, I am recuperating from a cardiac procedure: angioplasty and stent and have been occupied with health issues for awhile. Thank the Good Lord that the blockage was caught before harm was done. Am doing better each day and am enjoying looking at all the creations on here. You people are great artisans! I have much catching up to do in the house and am looking forward to selling some buttons soon.

Whoa, Caspi, you take care. Now would be a good time to experiment around with buttons and beads and see what you can come up with. Doing this work is a good way to fill time and be productive. Carole L. I know what you mean about the beading instructions being intimidating. Looked like greek to me the first time I saw it. But, after 3 or 4 pieces, the bracelets started to look better and indeed carried my own design sense as I altered the pattern to fit what I wanted to produce. -Carol C-
