"they've all been changed to media mail"

Yes, I see -- except that you are only charging $2.25 for USPS Media mail, while USPS Media mail is going to cost YOU at least $3.65 at the very least, and even MORE if any of those books exceed one pound!

And USPS Media mail will be raised again on July 9 to $3.92 (instead of $3.65) for the first pound, and more for each succeeding pound.

So you might want to raise your media prices to be in line with what the post office actually charges.

But that price showed up it and it was a flat media mail in the business policies their was a 2.25 and 3.00 media costs and with international costs I always charge a little more but that's what showed up and it included the word  priority

Here's the information about USPS Media Mail, straight from the official USPS site:

"Media Mail

Shipping in 2–8 Business Days4

Media Mail® is a cost-effective way to send media and educational materials. This service has restrictions on the type of media that can be sent. Prices start at $3.65 at a Post Office."

I don't know where you were quoted "a flat media mail in the business policies their was a 2.25 and 3.00 media cost" -- but that is dead wrong!

You should definitely change those $2.25 shipping charges, especially on any of your books that weigh over 1 pound, or you're going to take a beating, and show NO profit whatsoever, considering that eBay also takes its 14.95% cut on the selling price, plus the shipping charges, plus any applicable buyer's sales tax, plus a 30 cent item fee -- which may easily lead to negative sales on many of your items.

Please refer to the official USPS site for more information on selling media items, plus the USPS chart for media rates based upon weight.

Re: creating a buisness mailing policy

I've been checking out my competiton today and this suggestion just came to me I've seeing people selling 2-4 books for one price like a box set although it'll be through a different kind of shipping. that's how I got my items for two of my hobbies/collectables?

You can still sell any number of books using USPS Media rates -- all you need to do is weigh the lot as a whole, and refer to the USPS Media rate weight chart.

But your book listings are still showing a shipping price of $2.25 per item, which is way below what is charged by USPS -- and, on July 9, the charge increases to $3.92 each, for the first pound.

And I don't understand your question "that's how I got my items for two of my hobbies/collectables?"   What are you asking?

Re: creating a buisness mailing policy

Maybe that was a price "suggested by eBay".  Those suggestions are often flawed.

Yes, you can certainly do that.  Just make sure that you carefully weigh the entire lot (including shipping materials), and compare with the official USPS media weight chart, to make sure that the weight is correct, and that the USPS price is correct, as well.

Re: creating a buisness mailing policy

Opt out of business/mailing policies. It's not working for you.

On the listing form, choose calculated shipping and enter the size and weight of the packaged item.  eBay will calculate the correct shipping cost for the buyer's location. (Media Mail will be the same cost for all buyers. First Class and Priority depend on the address.)

"I want to make it and I am trying to make it work"

If you are serious about "trying to make it work," you seriously need to change your USPS Media rate shipping charges from $2.25 to at least $3.65 (and then, as of July 9, 2023, to $3.92).  Otherwise you will be making very little profit (if any).
