There are quite a few books that don't look like anything special. Here's one:

Security Analysis

Have you seen "In Pursuit of Happyness"? Superb film, security analysis is shown as the bible for stockbrokers. Might be worth listing any you have.

Thanks, iainsdad. I sold my oldest copy last year for an OK price for one that wasn't a 1st. Researching it, there were several modern editions that held their value. I didn't know it was featured in the film; that would be a good bump for the title.

Help! I am brand new to e-bay, trying find out what a couple of books might be worth. Hoping some of you expert sellers out there could give me an estimate? I have a copy of "Garfield Weighs In" by Jim Davis, first edition, signed and also a copy of "Garfield on the Town," first edition, signed. Anyone who can give me an estimate, I thank you.

Can anybody tell me why "The Big Tidy Up" by Norah Smaridge continues to sell sky-high? It's a Big Golden Book printed in the 1970s. The cheapest one I've seen recently was $300. Of course, the one my daughter had got "read to death".

All_that_glitters & ann-a: This thread isn't for questions or estimates. Did you read what it's for? The thread starts out as "There are quite a few books that don't look like anything special. Here's one..."

A bunch of us watch this BB thread discussion specifically for new books to be identified, not to read questions posted and requests for estimates. Not to be disrespectful, but please look at the purpose of a BB thread before posting. Thanks.

bugsduck is correct. However, a great place to ask the sorts of questions you have is on the thread on this bookseller's board titled "Any any question about any book". 🙂

I'm not a book genius or anything like that and would be considered by most as "small fry" to ebay, but I do sell a lot of books with my own reading preference being historical romances. I recently in the last month picked up two such books for .50 and resold each one for around $20.00 each! Not a bad profit on my part. Now if I could just figure out what made these used paperback historical romance books so special! They looked like regular old paperbacks to me.

satnrose,
I would like to ask your help in determining the value - or what to list the following book for. I have searched all over the net, and the values run the gamut. Thank you in advance for your help.

The book is: Now we Are Six, by A. A. Milne. E. P. Dutton, NY. 138th printing, 1939. 103 pages. Decorations by Ernest H. Shepard.

"New Uniform Edition. These inimitable and imperishable Milne classics with the new Shepard drawings are now available, for the first time, in a new edition, uniform with this volume."

No dust jacket. Green covers with reddish brown letters and pictures. The book is in great shape, although there are minor stains on both covers. It measures approximately 7.5 x 5.25 x .5.

Thank you again for any help you can provide.
