My husband started an ebay account to sell some things. He shipped a hard-to-find car part to a buyer and used the UPS store to package and ship the item. I checked the store receipt shipping address and the buyer address provided by Ebay and they matched. But the buyer says he didn't get the item and UPS says they delivered it to his residence. Naturally he is asking Ebay to return his purchase and shipping fees. We asked UPS to provide details on the delivery (pictures, GPS) but nada; but we did file a lost item claim and they are honoring it. Does Ebay open an investigation or just take the buyer's word that it wasn't delivered? This buyer sells classic car parts., but without proof of delivery from UPS, we can't say for sure that it was delivered to the right person. I'm just curioius, but I'm also upset with my husband because he didn't listen to me and only filed a claim for the shipping and packing costs, not the cost of the lost part.

@jamiebaby Do you have tracking on the item? If tracking shows delivery then you just enter it into the return request and you win the case.
No tracking that shows delivery and UPS is paying an insurance claim to you then you are not out the $ and you refund the buyer.
