sales have dropped so much that the store cost is more than the sales incurred each month for the last 3 months

It is a very difficult year for many sellers.  Summer is is the slowest part of the year, and with inflation so high this year, there is little money left for the fun stuff.

Have you considered using the marketing tools to run a sale, to try to stimulate sales?  A buy one, get one x% off is often hard to resist 🙂
