seller won't respond to buyer concerning warranty issue

I purchased a pole pruner saw from a seller on Ebay.  The pull starter unit broke the 2nd time it was used.

He advertised a 3 year warranty on the ad.  He refuses to respond to my emails regarding who to contact to get this thing fixed.  I also purchased the Allstate 2 year warranty but when I contacted them...they responded that it was under the original manufacturer's warranty.  So it appears that I wasted the money on the Allstate extended warranty as it expires in 2023.

Any suggetions??

Ebay sellers cannot issue warranties with their items unless they are authorized sellers for the manufacturer.

Have you tried to call the manufacturer? Most manufacturers will not honor warranties on items bought on Ebay.
